Friends revolves around a group of six friends who live in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York. The special and particular way of each one of them, combined with an intelligent and relaxed atmosphere, made the series a resounding worldwide success.
In episode 19 of season three, Ross and Rachel are in the process of separating, sharing each other’s belongings.
Ross wants Rachel’s ‘Frankie Say Relax’ T-shirt back. She loves the T-shirt. Annoyed, she gives it back, but argues that it won’t fit Ross anymore. He then “proves” the opposite by wearing her tiny T-shirt.
“Frankie Say Relax” is an allusion to the song “Relax”, the first single by the English band “Frankie Goes To Hollywood”.
